Gtechniq EXO v5

Gtechniq believes the new EXO v5 is the ultimate ceramic coating for your car's exterior! We all have come to love past iterations of this high-quality coating, but with Gtechniq working hard in development and testing, we knew it was only a matter of time until they push the envelope further. Enter, EXO version 5! This innovative coating is designed to provide incredible protection against the elements, keeping your vehicle looking like new for longer. Past iterations of EXO did require application of multiple layers for ideal results, however, a huge improvement with v5 is that you can now simply apply a single layer! This saves you not only a great deal of detailing time, but a single bottle of EXO will now go much further. When you break the high quality formula down on a chemical level, you will find that it has a non-hybrid makeup composed of an inorganic base coat and an organic top coat. The base coat is a chemically bonding hard coat that bonds directly to the surface with which it is applied. This top coat is very slick, wet looking and is also highly dirt and water repellent. These two parts combine during application to provide you with a hard film that makes water-spots easy to remove, offers great resistance to all wash chemicals, road salt, and can help withstand micro-marring. EXO v4 repelled contamination well, but v5 is a clear step forward. You will be amazed at how glossy, slick to the touch and ultra-hydrophobic this coating is. The surface will stay significantly cleaner for longer and the single layer application will last for around 2 years on daily driven vehicles according to Gtechniq. Any water that finds itself on the surface (rain, washing, etc.) will bead up in small drops and run off your paint with ease as well. This is due to what Gtechniq calls "next level hydrophobics" to reduce coating 'clogging' and increase an already fantastically high water contact angle. Toss in the lower runoff angle and water will roll off even flatter surfaces more frequently. In short, EXO v5 provides an easy to apply, durable, long-lasting protective barrier that resists water, dirt, and UV rays, while also adding incredible depth and gloss to your car's paintwork.
